Legal Analyst 
Description

RCN Capital is seeking a Legal Analyst to join our document preparation team within the Closing department. The Legal Analyst is responsible for confirming details, reviewing, and preparing committment letters, assembling and auditing loan packages, reviewing and revising data input into the system by the document preparation team, and working closely with closers, loan officers, and other RCN teams to ensure that all proper documents are accounted for in each loan file going to closing. This is a key position within the Legal Closing team that allows RCN Capital to ensure that each loan is closed quickly and accurately. Ideal candidates must be capable of multi-tasking while maintaining precise attention to detail while under pressure, and must be able to communicate effectively.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and send commitment letters to borrowers
  • Work with outside attorney to close large dollar loans
  • Assemble loan packages after documents have been prepped
  • Review and revise data input by doc prep team
  • Additional tasks, projects, or assignments as needed
 
Position Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate professional by phone, email, and in person
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Exposure and proficient use of MS Office Suite, including Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Required Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a legal office setting
  • 1-3 years of experience in real estate, closing, or banking

Education:

  • 2-year college degree in business, finance or equivalent required

Schedule:

  • Full time
  • Monday-Friday, 9AM-6PM
