As a Dental Assistant supporting two locations, you will play a crucial role in assisting our dentists and hygienists in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. You will split your time between our Arlington location on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and our South Riding location on Wednesdays and Fridays. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and has a passion for delivering outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists and hygienists during dental procedures, including but not limited to, chairside assisting, taking impressions, and preparing materials.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
- Take and develop dental x-rays as instructed by the dentist.
- Perform dental charting and record patient treatment information in electronic health records.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ordering replenishments as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a dental assistant program or equivalent on-the-job training.
- X-ray certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a dental assistant.
- Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation to commute between the Arlington and South Riding locations.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs.
