Share Email Opening Apply Now Title Service Manager - Brookings, SD  Description Position Summary: Work involves generating business by working with customers and building relationships with them by estimating costs and coordinating the work in a timely manner. Must be familiar with the business activities and growth in the surrounding area and know which businesses should be contacted about potential work. Must represent Muth Electric in a positive manner in the community at all times. Is responsible to ensure that work is completed in a safe and efficient manner and that the entire service department follows all Standard Procedures and Lean processes that are developed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Demonstrate safe work habits, comply with company safety requirements Meets with customers, immediately upon their request, to establish scope of work and an estimate. Assists the Division Manager in analyzing the manpower requirements of the Service Department.  Communicate clearly with service electrician(s) the customer expectations, scope of work and potential issues. Checks constantly to ensure that the workmanship meets the required specifications and is of quality that Muth Electric customers have come to expect. Reviews, resolves and anticipates materials, product, tool, and equipment problems. Test malfunctioning equipment and repair or replace faulty wires, cables, or electronic components Working knowledge of motor controls Install and maintain distribution boxes, switching gear, power and control circuits, etc. Install and maintain telephone equipment Must be able to perform the duties of a journeyworker electrician as identified in the journeyworker job description. Requires knowledge of process, procedures, and methods Requires the use of common courtesy in everyday contacts with employees, clients, and the general public Assists in the implementation of any established cross-training programs to upgrade and provide a more flexible work force.
