As a Coding Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the coding operations of our organization. You will lead a team of skilled coders, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coding, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

 

Salary Range $45,000-65,000/annually. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Coding Team: Lead and mentor a team of coders, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
  • Ensure Compliance: Stay up-to-date on coding guidelines, regulations, and best practices, and ensure that coding activities comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement processes and procedures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of coding, including regular audits and quality assurance checks.
  • Optimize Efficiency: Identify opportunities to streamline coding processes and improve efficiency, leveraging technology and automation where possible.
  • Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with other departments, including Billing, Finance, Compliance, and Clinical Operations, to coordinate coding activities and address issues as they arise.
  • Performance Management: Monitor coding performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to achieve departmental goals.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs for coders to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring ongoing professional growth and development.

 

Qualifications:

  • Coding Certification or  Associate of Registered Health Information Management required.
  • 3-5 years of related experience perfered

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Clinical documentation audit
  • Evaluation and Management audit
  • Medical practice software
  • Data entry
  • 10 key
  • Microsoft 365
  • CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS coding
  • Medical terminology knowledge is preferred
  • Anatomy and Physiology knowledge is preferred
