The selected candidate(s) will perform manual labor tasks to assist with the maintenance, construction and repair of county roads, bridges, and culverts; performs other duties as required.   Position Requirements Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 18 years of age. Enrollment in college is preferred. Qualified candidates must possess a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License. Summer help program is for a maximum of 600 hours. Successful applicant must pass a drug screen. The rate of pay is $15.00 per hour. A summer help application form may be acquired or dropped off at the Portage County Engineer’s Office, 5000 Newton Falls Road, Ravenna, Ohio 44266. Phone (330) 296-6411.
