The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) plans, coordinates, integrates, and monitors the active treatment process that moves individuals toward independence utilizing a person-centered approach to assist the individuals in fulfilling their desires and needs for an independent life. This position is part of the supervisory management team that guides the overall direction of the facility and is vital to fulfilling the mission and purpose of this Ministry by creating, engaging in and programming Christian related activities for clients such as bible study, church attendance, games and activities, summer Christian camp attendance and devotions. This position ensures consistent delivery of client programming, oversees the use of the behavior management process to ensure effective interventions are in place and oversees the daily implementation of active treatment. This position will directly supervise the Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and work closely with other departments for client needs and services.

The QIDP position also carries the following responsibilities:

Provide Direct Care for the individuals we serve (assist with personal care, transfers, bathing, changing attends, eating and other activities of daily living, active treatment programming, documentation and other duties as assigned) when necessary.

Completing all Inservice's

Nurturing a positive environment which empowers the individuals we serve to build meaningful relationships, achieve their goals and assist them daily to live the life they choose.

Responsible for active treatment and the integration of all resident programming. This includes writing, monitoring, evaluating, and training on all programs and Behavior Support Plans, being team leader to coordinate all IP/ISP meetings and special team meetings,

Responsible for being the primary contact for social Security, Jobs and Family services to assist with maintaining eligibility and medical coverages.

Responsible to ensure that Level of Care (LOC) and/or Ohio Developmental Disability Profile ( ODDP) are completed and submitted in a timely manner into the DODD statewide system.

Responsible for continuing contact and communication with client's family/guardian. This includes communicating with family/guardian about the client's needs, programs and activities, and special events and trips.

Responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing, Nursing Supervisor and Floor Nurses with medical issues and treatment plans as it related to programming and active treatment.

Responsible for assisting the Director of Dietary and dietary staff with nutritional and dietary issues of clients. Attending ISP/IHP and IDT Leadership meetings.

Responsible for performing other duties or functions deemed necessary by the Program Director and/or the Administrator.

Requirements

  • Position requires a four year degree in a Human Services profession, Special Needs, Education, related field, or an R.N. license as specified in the Federal Medicaid Regulations, and one year experience in the Developmental Disability field.
  • Prior Supervisory experience preferred. CPR, First Aid, and TAPS/CPI certifications will be required either prior to or within 3 months of hire.
  • Position also requires a basic knowledge and ability to operate Microsoft office products, the internet, email, and general office equipment.
  • Position requires a demonstrated Christian background, lifestyle and a demonstrated ability to fulfill the mission and purpose of the ministry.
