At Visiting Nurse, we do require our team to be part of the solution to the spread of COVID-19. HOSPICE COMMUNITY SPECIALIST -GWINNETT COUNTIES

Tasked with spearheading the formulation and implementation of territory and account strategies aimed at sustaining and expanding hospice service admissions from referral partners across the Branch service area. These referral partners, encompass entities such as physician offices, senior living facilities, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, and select hospitals. Oversight extends to approximately 30-50 accounts on a rotating bi-weekly call schedule, with identified accounts incorporated into the call cycle. While the primary liaison’s role is with the referral source, occasional interaction with patients and families may be necessary. Responsibilities entail explaining hospice care to families and patients, collaborating with referral partners, the Hospice Atlanta nursing team, and facility personnel, as well as assisting in administrative tasks. The ability to collaborate within a team, adapt to dynamic business strategies, and employ analytical acumen to assess opportunities leveraging territory insights and organizational resources is integral to thriving in this role.

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Allied Health discipline (such as Physical Therapy), Health Administration or Business Administration strongly preferred.

Previous Experience: Two years of successful experience in a healthcare sales environment with a proven track record of success is required. Hospice and/or home health work experience is preferred.

Licensure/Certifications: Current Professional/Clinical Licensure in the State of Georgia preferred but not required. Valid & current driver's license required.

Knowledge/Training: Knowledge of Atlanta health care market and particularly the home health and/ or hospice related sectors of the Atlanta health care market. Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid and third party payer entities. Knowledge of principles, practices and regulatory requirements of marketing home health and hospice care.

Skills: Proven interpersonal skills and effective communication skills. Ability to gather, analyze and present complex clinical and statistical data. Strong sales, business development, decision making and communication skills. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated. Must have impeccable customer service skills and problem solving skills. Proficiency with standard business software (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and using a laptop and mobile device is required.
