Description

Family Development Specialist needed for full-time, temporary position in Philadelphia County.

Responsible for training, evaluating, and screening potential foster parents. Conducts orientation sessions, PRIDE training, individual assessments, and paperwork completion. Stays updated on developmental and child welfare issues. Facilitates program development and presents families for review meetings. Conducts multiple assessments monthly, including home visits and safety evaluations. Maintains thorough paperwork, communicates effectively with stakeholders, and provides support to prospective foster parents. ‘

 
Position Requirements

BSW degree, child welfare experience, strong decision-making, interpersonal skills, and access to a personal car. Demonstrates high ethical standards, enthusiasm for foster care, good time management, adaptability, and willingness to improve.
