After 1st Year: $31.4686 Hourly ($65,455)
After 2nd Year: $35.2056 Hourly ($73,228)
After 3rd Year: $36.4487 Hourly ($75,813)
After 4th Year: $37,7269 Hourly ($78,472)
After 5th Year: $39,1060 Hourly ($81,340)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree -AND- two (2) years as a Supervisor in social welfare planning;
-OR-
Bachelor’s degree -AND- four (4) years as a supervisor in social welfare planning;
-OR-
At least eight (8) years as a Supervisor with Genesee County Community Action Resource Department;
-OR-
An equivalent combination of education and experience deemed acceptable by the GCCARD Director.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid Michigan driver’s license.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Plans, organizes and administers the operation of the Neighborhood Service Center Programs; this position is exempt and appointed by the GCCARD Director; works under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director of GCCARD; performs related duties as required.
STATEMENT OF TASKS:
- Trains, supervises and evaluates the Neighborhood Service Center Program’s staff in the performance of their assigned duties;
- Develops, implements and monitors the financial and statistical reporting systems for all Neighborhood Service Center Program operations;
- Develops and submits annual refunding proposals for the Neighborhood Service Center Programs;
- Develops, implements and monitors Neighborhood Service Center Programs operation’s policy to ensure compliance with federal, state, county, agency and contractual requirements;
- Makes presentations to various decision-making groups such as the Genesee County Board of Commissioners, social welfare agencies and public service groups to secure funding, provide project information and network support.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of program planning methods and procedures;
- Knowledge of needs and characteristics of economically disadvantaged persons;
- Knowledge of community agencies and resources dealing with the needs of economically disadvantaged persons;
- Ability to supervise the work of subordinate employees;
- Ability to communicate effectively with groups and individuals in oral and written form;
- Ability to write proposals, program budgets, procedural manuals and policy statements;
- Ability to prepare statistical and financial reports;
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively and respectfully in a complex, multicultural work environment that values diversity, equity and inclusion.
