Description

The Athletic Training Fellowship of George School is an entry level opportunity with responsibility to assist the Head Athletic Trainer in providing comprehensive athletic training services including medical clearance, injury prevention, and the care and treatment of athletic injuries. The expectation is to promote injury/illness prevention and wellness as set forth by the athletic trainers' governing body, National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), under the direction of a physician as constituted by state law and state licensure practices in the following domains: injury prevention, clinical evaluation, immediate and emergency care, treatment, rehabilitation, reconditioning, organization, administration, and professional responsibility. This 10 month position is a 1-2 year fellowship starting mid-August 2024.

 
Position Requirements

Must be a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the Board of Certification of the NATA • Licensed to practice Athletic Training in the state of Pennsylvania(temporary licensure may be considered) • Eagerness to collaborate with clinicians to achieve positive patient outcomes • Growth-oriented mindset as an educator and lifelong student • Possess excellent organizational and communication skills • Work experience in a secondary school setting preferred • Respond to medical emergencies in a calm and timely manner • Supervise and mentor qualified students(high school aides and ATEP clinical students) • Capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment • Ability to build and maintain good relationships with George School community members • Ability to possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Magnus Health
