  • Activate temporary/part-time employees in time-keeping system; provide instruction for entering time and timesheet approval process.
  • Collect and verify approved timesheets for hourly employees; maintain spreadsheet for payroll import.
  • Set-up and maintain state tax records for unemployment and withholding tax across multiple states; respond to state inquiries; provide account information to ADP.
  • Verify HR data entry for new hires and employee changes in payroll system.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Maintain payroll documentation and employee records.
  • Respond to written and verbal employment/wage verification requests.
  • Set-up and respond to wage garnishment requests.
  • Prepare payroll reports for Accounting and HR.
  • Protect employee and company information by maintaining strict confidentiality and following Sarbanes-Oxley procedures.
Position Requirements
  • 2+ years experience including:  multi-state payroll processing; payroll process using a web-based software program; timesheet processing and applicable wage and hour laws; quarterly reports and W-2 processing.
  • REQUIRED: Experience with setting up payroll taxes across multiple states
  • ADP experience preferred
  • HR new hire processing experience preferred
  • Intermediate-level experience with Excel
  • Some college preferred
  • Ability to multi task under strict deadlines
  • High degree of accountability and confidentiality
  • Self-motivated and very detail oriented
