Leica cameras are the preferred tool of leading photographers with a tradition of precision manufacturing and technological innovation. The brand is at the forefront of the photographic industry with an unsurpassed standard of excellence, both in photography and equipment. As the Gallery Manager, this candidate will be the driving force to bring the exciting world of Leica to the consumer. This person is expected to drive the Leica Gallery Boston and the associated Leica Store Boston as a destination for photography enthusiasts and serious collectors. The candidate’s is tasked to build up revenue streams from gallery sales that include photographic prints, collectable books, photographic books as well as items of collectable value.   Candidate must be based in Boston or neighboring areas.   Primary tasks Responsible for the operational efficiency of the Art, Event and Education side of the Leica Gallery Boston. Helping with the organization and installation of exhibitions. Develop business model that increases annual sales revenues. Select, direct and develop personnel to ensure consistent operation at the highest professional standards. Be a genuine brand ambassador understanding and living the desire for the brand. Managing VIP relationships externally and internally within Leica Corporate. Promoting the gallery and store by liaising with Leica and third parties resources. Oversight and responsibility for store functions, among which include: inventory, database, shipping, consignment and loans, and collateral materials.   Leica Camera Inc.
