Description

Basic Function:          

This position is at THIE Headquarters located in Georgetown, TX.  The Claims Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to THIE’s Claims Department. This support includes electronically setting up all new claim files; working extensively with third-party databases to transmit requisite claims information; processing all incoming and outgoing department correspondence; processing payments for provider and vendor invoices; electronically transmitting medical bills to bill review vendor daily; assisting providers and vendors with bill payment inquiries; directing claimant’s calls to appropriate adjuster; assisting with coordination and preparation for special events, as needed; and serving as back-up to the receptionist, as needed.

Qualifications:

Valid Texas Drivers’ License and proof of insurance if driving for THA/THIE related business

High school diploma

At least two years’ experience in an administrative role

This job requires ability to work in the office five days per week. 

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent organizational skills with keen eye for detail

Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities

Excellent computer skills using the latest version of Microsoft Office Suites and ability to easily learn and master use of various technology databases

Excellent verbal and written communication and proof-reading skills

Strong customer service skills

Ability to take initiative with respect to troubleshooting and problem-solving for assigned tasks

Team player who thrives in collaborative environment

Ability to maintain a professional, mature demeanor and work with diverse personalities
