Communtiy Guidance Center is looking for a Psychiatrist in our newest office located in Greensburg, PA.  This position is Monday - Friday, with no call, no evenings and no weekends!!

  • Evaluate children, adolescents, and adults to determine the presence of psychiatric disorders, obtain psychiatric histories, diagnose psychiatric illness, and establish treatment plan. Provide testimony in court on specific cases as needed. Provide psychiatric evaluations to clients who are in crisis as needed. Follow psychiatric Best Practices.
  • Provide at least seventy percent (70%) of paid time in billable service time.
  • Prescribe and direct administration of medication, psychotherapy, counseling, and supportive care for individuals of all ages who struggle with mental health diagnoses. Direct the treatment, referral, consultation, and discharge of clients.
  • Maintain accurate records on clinical interviews and prescription information of all clients in accordance with current regulations and Center policies. Complete all direct service medical documentation by the end of shift. All other paperwork to be completed within one business day.
  • Consult with and advise staff, as appropriate, on the care of consumers. Provide in-service training for clinical staff as needed. Provide community education as needed on topics relevant to behavioral health.
  • Monitors clinical performance of department staff and provides input to department director on evaluations of department staff.
  • Be knowledgeable of and comply with regulatory requirements, managed care contracts, and Center policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate care efforts with other community agencies and providers, and represent the agency in the community in a positive manner. Display the manner/attitude, philosophy, and characteristics to support the Company’s core values inside the Center and in the community.
  • Provide psychiatric services in satellite locations as assigned and/or as required.
  • Participate in specific clinical meetings as required. Participate in the development and maintenance of Clinical Best Practices for psychiatric services. Consult with and provide clinical direction for other Center psychiatrists and PAs/CRNPs. Assist in the development and advancement of a recovery focus across all services.
 
Position Requirements
  • Active License to Practice Medicine in Pennsylvania
  • Board Certified or Board eligible
  • MD or DO; Completion of psychiatric residency
  • Two years of practical experience
  • Valid DEA; Act 33/34 clearance
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a community based setting with experience in maintaining consultation with external agencies in coordination of care.
