Update patient records and check records for accuracy at each patient appointment. Diagnose patients’ medical issues and prescribe medications or refer them to specialists as necessary. Provide appropriate follow-up care and monitoring of patients’ conditions and recovery. Educate patients and their families on their medical issues, treatment plans, and preventive care to improve their quality of life. Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging procedures. Coordinate with medical staff to plan comprehensive patient care. Manage the overall health care of assigned patient panels, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times. Collaborate with other physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals as necessary. Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families. Adhere to all relevant medical laws and regulations. Participate in continuing education activities and maintain current knowledge of advancements in the field. Contribute to the efficiency of the practice by managing time effectively and seeing patients promptly. Utilize an electronic health record system to document patient care.
