Position AP Specialist 2023  
Description

Location: Seattle
Position: Full Time

Rate: $22 - $24.00 hour

About this role

Outdoor Research is seeking an AP specialist for our industry-leading Brand and manufacturing environment. This position requires a well-organized and detail-oriented individual with the willingness to hold teams accountable and work with a diverse group of associates in cross-functional teams. To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills and be a self-motivated problem solver who is eager to learn.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enter invoices into ERP system
  • Post supplier invoices to PO’s
  • Research and resolve PO issues
  • Setup new vendors
  • Respond to customer inquiries (internal and external)
  • Research vendor statements
  • Route invoices for approval & coding
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Generate and file 1099 forms
  • Cut checks
  • Support internal controls and guidelines, including SOX-related controls
  • Additional duties as assigned. 

 

 
Position Requirements

What you should bring to the table:

  • Fundamental understanding of the general ledger
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a diverse environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with vendors in a clear and concise manner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-year college degree in accounting or business and 1+ years accounting experience in accounts payable; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong Excel skills including familiarity with pivot tables
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook
  • Experience working with ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics a plus
  • Experience with Concur credit card/expense management a plus
