This position is committed to providing ABC of NC’s Behavior Techs/Teachers assistance with clients when codes are called. This position is a part–time non-RBT role (approximately 30-35 hours per week) working both in our clinic and school, and will require CPI/NCI and First Aid training, which ABC will make available if the candidate does not already hold these certifications. The Facilities/Operations Aide is also supports Facilities for building and property needs.
Responsibilities:
Assist and support front line staff when they call codes for help:
- Client CPR/First Aid, NCI behavior, personal hygiene, sickness, toileting needs, etc.
- RBT short breaks (7 minutes or less)
- Assisting with client meals and snacks
- Elopement/misplaced client
Obtain/maintain current CPI/NCI, CPR/First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens training certifications and renewals.
May assist with preparing and organizing stimuli for client sessions.
Assist with client and staff transitions including client drop-off and pick-up.
Provide campus-wide cleaning support and emergency clean-ups on an as-needed basis:
- Provides daily cleaning support in Dewey’s.
- Provides daily cleaning support in all cafeteria/breakroom locations.
- Provides daily elevator panel/button cleaning.
- Provides monthly washer/dryer cleaning maintenance with all washer/dry equipment on campus (cleaning of seals, doors, vents) including cleaning of washer equipment with provided cleaning solution.
- Monitor/fill soap and paper towel dispensers as needed.
- Monitor/fill glove inventory and other PPE inventory as needed.
End of shift responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Wipe down mats, toys, etc. in Gross Motor Room
- Wipe down cafeteria tables and chairs
- Wipe down microwaves and fridge water dispenser in Break Room, Cafeteria, and Apartment
- Unplug toaster ovens in Break Room, Cafeteria, and Apartment
Notify Facilities Manager when PPE (gloves, gowns, masks) inventory is running low and requires a re-order.
When applicable, place safety hazard signs in the building including wet paint and wet floor warning signs.
Notify Facilities Manager when paper towel, toilet paper, and other janitorial inventory is running low and requires a re-order.
Help with tracking supplies and cabinet keys. Communicate need for supply orders to manager and Inventory Coordinator.
May assist with preparing conference rooms before and after large meetings.
Attend and contribute to team meetings/debriefings/workshops.
Attend annual required abuse risk management training; adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities; report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations; and follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
Attend and/or complete all assigned employee trainings.
Must comply with all ABC of NC policies and procedures.
