Share Email Opening Title Respiratory Therapist  Description Job Overview: Conducting, performing, and analyzing diagnostic and function tests to assess lung capacity and capability under the direction/supervision of the pulmonologist. Responsibilities Inspect, clean, test, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently. Maintain needed inventory. Perform pulmonary function tests with DLCO and adjust equipment to obtain optimum results in therapy. Facilitate efficient clinical workflow. Administering inhalants per protocol. Ability to perform arterial blood gas analysis. Explain procedure to patients. Monitor patients' physiological responses to therapy and consult with physician if adverse reactions occur. Perform other duties as needed.   Position Requirements Minimum qualifications: A.S. degree or certificate of completion from an accredited 2-year college in Respiratory Therapy. Current license to practice respiratory therapy in North Carolina. Minimum of one-year experience. Ability to communicate written and orally.
