Share Email Opening Title Actuarial Analyst  Category Actuary   Description Job Summary This is an actuary position on the Annuity Pricing Team and will be onsite in Austin, TX. This position will be instrumental to the end-to-end annuity product development process from ideation and pricing to implementation and performance management. This position is expected to progress through actuarial exams to pursue SOA credentials. Essential Functions Design and model new annuity products in Prophet actuarial software Run pricing model and propose rate action for monthly annuity rate setting Become a subject matter expert of the fixed indexed annuities that we offer Lead improvements to annuity illustration software and validate changes Communicate system requirements to IT and sign off on validation results Draft policy form language supporting actuarial materials Design and review marketing forms Manage various policy support tasks such as updating system forms, development of annual statements, and validation of policy values Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or equivalent work experience required. At least 1 year of individual life or annuity actuarial experience required. Prophet modeling experience preferred. Annuity or life pricing experience preferred Attention to detail, organized, eager learner Proven experience working with various stakeholders in an effective manner. Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite. Licenses & Certifications Passed at least 3 SOA exams. Supervision & Leadership No Supervision responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Overtime may be required at peak times. The employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel.
