EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree is required; Bachelor Degree in management, transportation, mathematics, or a related field is preferred. At least five years’ experience in logistics/transportation is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED Must possess strong interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate good communication skills both written and oral. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects. Must possess excellent personal computer skills and having working knowledge of Microsoft Office products software i.e.; Word, and Outlook. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems and Customer Service highly preferred. Experience in DOT regulations and compliance, as well as Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to communicate effectively using the telephone, Fax, E-mail etc. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Current driver's license.
