Welcome to the "What's Next District.” The IT Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the organization's technological infrastructure. This includes providing comprehensive support to office users, setting up new users, addressing technical issues with various systems, and actively engaging in IT projects and support tickets. The IT Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting a diverse range of technologies, such as computers, networks, software applications, and specialized equipment like Point of Sale (POS) systems and Virtual Reality (VR) hardware. The primary goal is to contribute to a seamless and reliable IT environment, facilitating optimal productivity for end-users and supporting AREA15’s overall technological goals. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Provide comprehensive support for office users across Mac, PC, network, printing, Office365, and various SaaS platforms. Conduct setup for new users, including both Mac and PC configurations, ensuring required access and software for their respective positions. Manage IT onboarding processes for new hires. Address technical and functional issues with Point of Sale (POS) systems such as Square POS, Square for Restaurants, and Square for Retail. Troubleshoot and support Ticketing platforms (Ticketure, internally developed App, Website, and Kiosks), and all other internal systems. Support and maintain Virtual Reality (VR) equipment in-venue, ensuring proper par levels of equipment are in inventory for backup. Collaborate with IT Service Providers to maintain 100% availability of the network and systems in both office and venue environments. Perform daily technical checklists to ensure all systems are operating as expected. Conduct asset tagging and maintain accurate location records for all equipment using internal asset management platforms. Actively engage in IT projects, support tickets, and participate in the testing of internal systems and custom-built experiences. Exhibit ART! (AREA15's service standards) at all times. Adhere to department and company policies and procedures. Be available to respond to time-sensitive matters. Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to AREA15 standards. Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration and IT support in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on experience with Square POS systems and VR hardware support. Familiarity with Ticketing platforms. Extensive experience in supporting end-users. Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and protocols. Relevant certifications are preferred, including Office365, networking, and cyber-security. Eagerness and ability to quickly research and adapt to new technologies. Experience in establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships. Ability to commute between office and venue(s). Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, flashing lights, and smoke.
