Major responsibilities include (not all inclusive):
Manages real property and maintains property records for the VING.
Manages the Facility Information Folders (FIF) for all VING property assets.
Performs inventories and inspections of real property assets in accordance with policies and regulations.
Develops and recommends programs for the acquisition of leaseholds, easements, permits, land exchanges and licenses from both private landowners and government agencies.
Researches and interprets legal documents such as deeds and abstracts for titles.
Participates in site selection surveys and assists in obtaining right of entry.
Updates real property systems of record.
Provides real property statistics and recommendations concerning the utilization, development and disposal programs of real property.
Prepares and submits required real property reports.
Qualifications / Skills / Certifications:
Knowledge of policies, methods and techniques used in property appraisal, acquisition and management.
Knowledge of real property reporting in accordance with public law 101-576.
Knowledge of electronic database management and application.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of reports related to program activities and costs.
