A day in the life of an Accounting Associate:

  • Responsible for various accounting and close-related support.
  • Ensure accounting files are completed and maintained accurately and consistently.
  • Ensure accurate receiving of inventory by matching invoices with purchase orders.
  • Reconcile shipping invoices and request credit when necessary.
  • Reconciliation of deposits in FNB to payments posted in Noble.
  • Communicate with insurance companies and third parties to resolve unreconciled items.
  • Collect and reconcile employee expense reports.
  • Compile, sort, and scan invoices and checks.
  • Assist with processing weekly and bi-weekly check runs.
  • Submit regular bank deposits.
  • Collect and distribute mail as requested.
  • Maintain vendor contact files.
  • Process regular insurance refunds.
  • Work with adding machines, calculators, databases and bank accounts.
  • Assist with researching, tracking, and resolving accounting problems.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Perform other various projects as assigned by the Accounting Coordinator and VP of Finance.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety and compliance and report any concerns of non-compliance in any area to your manager immediately.

Position Requirements

Preferred Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in clerical accounting or bookkeeping
  • Medical (DMEPOS) industry background
  • Great Plains software experience
  • Noble House software experience
