We are seeking a Risk Analyst to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Chief Data Officer Directorate (CDOD).  

This position is fully remote working with a DHS Client in Washington, DC.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Risk Analyst will support the Risk Manager with conducting risk management across all supported programs and projects in conformance with DHS policy using government approved tools.
  • Using government approved tools, standards, and methodologies, the Risk Analyst shall support the development and maintenance of risk matrices and risk identification and mitigation plans; development and maintenance of risk registers, including adding new risk ratings and risk candidates; development of risk dashboards to report risk status reporting; conduct of risk assessment, risk mitigation planning, and risk resolution action with risk owners of assigned risks.
  • The Risk Analyst will support the risk manager managing risk meetings such that risks associated with each supported program, project, work stream, or line of effort are expediently resolved in conformance with government defined standards.
  • The Risk Analyst will work with assigned federal staff to help document risks and mitigate plans and communicate possible conflicts between each supported program, project, work stream, or line of effort.
 
Position Requirements
  • US Citizenship
  • Seven years in a Scrum Master role, combined with a background in project management and business analysis.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software for tracking progress and managing workflows.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders and team members.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements effectively.
  • Certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are advantageous.
  • This role requires a dynamic individual who can seamlessly blend their expertise in project management, business analysis, and Agile methodologies to drive successful project outcomes while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
