Assistant Director of Nursing 

Description
  1. Coordinate and manage Infection Control Audits, Safety Needle Evaluations and monthly DONQS report.
  2. Ensure the availability of adequate nursing and MOA coverage at all times through efficient and effective scheduling, resolving scheduling conflicts as necessary. Adjust coverage as necessary based on monitoring of patient flow.
  3. Assist with program coordination and clinical rotations of nurse and MOAs.
  4. Ensure quality of care through the development and interpretation of nursing philosophies, protocols and standards of care, enforcing adherence to State Board of Nursing and State Nurse Practice Act requirements and other regulations.
  5. Monitor patient care delivered by nursing staff and MOAs.
  6. Provide leadership in maintaining quality standards.
  7. Receive and review a variety of documents, including policies and procedures, employee leave requests, time cards, patient charts, quality assurance surveys and other information.
  8. Provide direct patient care.
  9. Comply with all applicable infection control and safety procedures.
  10. Exhibit compliance with FHC's corporate compliance policy.
  11. Perform job activities in ways that are respectful, courteous and responsive while interacting with patients, visitors and co-workers.
  12. Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as apparent or as delegated.
 
Position Requirements

Completion of an accredited RN program with a bachelor’s degree in nursing plus a minimum of five years of working experience in a healthcare environment and three years of supervisory experience. Must be self-directed, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Must have and maintain RN licensure in the State of South Carolina. Current CPR certification is required.
