The company has continually grown to a point where we currently serve more than 600 individuals, and employ more than 1000 people across the state. Skill Creations is a human services agency that operates three service divisions. The ICF Division provides specialized long-term residential care to 191 individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in 15 different towns in North Carolina. The Community Operations Division provides residential and non-residential services to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their home community. The Child Development Division, with two locations in Goldsboro, provides high quality child care and preschool for children ages birth - 5 years. One center also offers after school care through age 12.   Description Full time:  $17.60 per hour. 35 hrs per week, rotating 2 days on and 2 days off 7 a.m.- 2pm and 5pm-8 pm. Can add dependents and spouses extra cost to employee.       Life Insurance - $25,000.00.      Dental insurance-paid for by SCI for employee, can add dependents and spouses at extra cost to employee.     Voluntary additional life insurance, critical illness and disability offered at extra cost to employee.      Opportunity to participate in 401-K program after 1 year of employment.   The Dietary Specialist is responsible for preparing meals and snacks for individuals living in Skill Creations, Inc. facilities, who have physical and/or intellectual disabilities and /or medical care needs. This includes following recipes, assembling, combining and cooking ingredients. Typically there are 15 individuals living in a facility and their diets may vary in particular ways due to allergies, medical conditions and difficulty swallowing or chewing. The Dietary Specialist is responsible for ensuring each individual receives food and beverages according to any special diet order, and in many cases will assist DSP staff with meal time direct client care. The Dietary Specialist must operate appliances and kitchen equipment, manage inventory and maintain a sanitary kitchen. Dietary Specialists are responsible for the day to day kitchen operations, working under the supervision of the Facility Director and the direction of a Registered Dietitian.     Position Requirements Working knowledge of dietary requirements for individuals with special needs preferred Experience in institutional cooking is preferred 18 years of age or older High School diploma or GED Valid driver's license Working personal phone Dependable transportation Minimal proficiency in computer use for e-mail, electronic paystubs, completion of training modules Ability to lift 50 lbs.
