Radiologic Technologist I 
Description

Job Overview:

The technologist performs a wide variety of procedures in the Imaging Department under the medical direction of the radiologist.  Procedures include diagnostic x-ray, DEXA, and/or CT scans (as trained) and participate in rotational coverage of the Immediate Care. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform diagnostic x-ray procedures, EKG's, DEXA, and/or CT scans under the direction of the radiologist as assigned.
  2. Perform exams and procedures for patients as scheduled or otherwise maintaining efficient workflow.
  3. Perform exams per radiologist’s protocols.
  4. Review results for quality and accuracy.
  5. Review CPT charges for accuracy.
  6. Operate PACS and CR systems accurately.
  7. Ensure proper patient identification and anatomical orientation on all images.
  8. Monitor patients during examination.
  9. Maintain record of examinations performed.
  10. Ensure that the x-ray rooms are adequately stocked and clean.
  11. Properly maintain care of equipment and department.
  12. Report any equipment problems or deficiencies to the Imaging Manager.
  13. Participate in Walk-In Clinic coverage per rotational schedule. 
  14. Cross-train as necessary.
  15. Maintain adequate records and required paperwork.
  16. Follow established OSHA policies.
  17. Participate in continuing education opportunities/maintain ARRT credentials.
  18. Forward all service reports to manager.
  19. Follow all HIPAA policies.
  20. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Must be a graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  2. Must be ARRT certified.
  3. Proficient computer skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  5. Ability to work well with other technologists, the public, and other members of the clinic.
  6. Professional image in attitude and appearance.
  7. Ability to communicate well orally and in writing.
  8. CPR certification
