Position Summary:

Assist the Grants Manager and the Development Team with activities related to grant prospecting, applications, reporting, and compliance. Responsible for researching issues related to intimate partner violence, and creating research summaries to be used in the grant writing process.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Grants Manager including compiling and editing documents, assembling required documents and gathering signatures.
  • Takes the lead on proposals that use straightforward applications, and do not have complex narrative, document, or budget components.
  • Assists with research, identifying government, foundation, and corporate grant opportunities.
  • Prepares grants reports for the Grant Manager to distribute to Agency Directors and Leadership Staff.
  • Stays abreast of current research/best-practices in the field; shares research summaries with agency staff.
  • Creates and maintains a current library of data, agency client stories, statistics, and other information related to House of Ruth Maryland programs, to support grant proposals.
  • Maintains Grantseeker grant tracking software and files in the Grants Drive.

Authority:

  • Recommends grants that are appropriate for the programs of House of Ruth Maryland to the Grants Manager.
  • Works directly with program staff to acquire all necessary signatures for grant applications, award acceptance, and reports.

 

Measures of Success and/or Accountability:

  • Quality standards for grant documents and applications are consistently met.
  • All databases and tracking mechanisms are current and accurate, and information is readily available to those that need it.
  • All relevant agency information documents used for grants are up to date and accessible.
  • Effective working relationships with Grants, Data, and the larger Development Team.
  • Current knowledge of program activities.
  • Remote work eligible; will need to attend in-office functions and meetings when assigned.
