Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures workforce is following safe manufacturing practices and set the example in, lock out tag out, confined space entry, ladder and climbing safety. Organizes work flow to ensure efficient flow of material through the plant. Supervisies and issues work assignments. Assists Plant Manager with identifying personnel issues such as training and disciplinary actions. Work overtime as needed to cover absences of co-workers. Assist other departments as needed. Check waste water operations throughout work shift. Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner Follow department and company procedures Keep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company Other duties as assigned   Position Requirements Qualifications (Knowledge Skills Abilities, professional certifications, education, experience, travel requirements) 1 year experience in commercial and industrial environment. Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Less than 5% travel requirement knowledge of food safety including HACCP, CMPAF and safe food safe feed requirements strong communication skills both verbal and written. Speak effectively, write clearly and follow directions. Must be computer literate. Excel, Word, Outlook Must be able to operate a forklift. Physical Demands/Requirements Constantly (over 2/3): Operates and uses maintenance/mechanic tools including electrical hand tools Must be able to move around industrial equipment in manufacturing facility and garage workshop Must be able to detect and observe equipment in need of repair Communicates with co-workers and exchanges accurate information in-person, telephonically and via electronic devices/e-mail Must be able to physically climb, crawl, and maneuver in and around machinery in a safe manner. Must be able to push, pull and lift at least 70 pounds.
