SRM has twelve leading fellowship-trained Infertility and Reproductive Endocrinology specialists with expertise in infertility testing, treatment, male infertility (three on-site urologists), IVF, donor egg, donor sperm, artificial insemination, egg freezing etc. Additional services include acupuncture, counseling, infertility support group, genetics, tubal reversal, vasectomy reversal and fertility assessments for women concerned about reproductive aging. We currently have six locations in: Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue, Kirkland, Everett and Spokane.

Summary:

We are looking for a Clinical Assistant to sit out of our Bellevue clinic. This will be a full-time, full-benefits, 40 hours a week position. Must be available Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30-5:00.

A Clinical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare professionals in various medical settings. They work closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure the smooth operation of the clinical environment and provide excellent patient care. Clinical Assistants perform a range of administrative, clerical, and clinical tasks to facilitate patient treatment and ensure the overall efficiency of the healthcare facility.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative tasks to support the clinical team to include data entry of lab and ultrasound results, prior authorizations as needed, outside monitoring orders & filling out FMLA paperwork.
  • Collaborate with the navigator/nurse navigator to send introductory portal message to new patients, along with associated preconception and diagnostics testing handouts, and send appropriate consents and training modules through Engaged MD.
  • Collaborate with the navigator/nurse navigator to set up preconception and low-tech treatment plan checklists in the EMR and communicate with patients to discuss screening, process, and timeline expectations.
  • Collaborate with navigator/nurse navigator to send a follow up message to all new patients 1-2 weeks after initial appointment with resources for emotional/wellness support during fertility treatment. Assist with scheduling and questions if planned appointments are not already scheduled.
  • Follow up on canceled or missed appointments, and schedule straightforward Dx testing and follow-ups.
  • Provide support with phone call and portal triage, answering questions as appropriate after consultation with navigator/nurse navigator or provider.
  • Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families. Comfort patients by anticipating patient’s anxieties and answering patient questions as permitted.
  • Assist navigator/nurse navigator with:
  • prescriptions, including prior authorizations, as needed, and refill requests.
  • treatment calendar creation under mentorship of the navigator/nurse navigator
  • patient check-ins to ensure checklist compliance and to ensure treatment plans and timelines have not changed.
  • Coordinate with other departments on the patient’s behalf, to get questions answered and facilitate treatment plans in the most efficient way possible.
  • Follow up with patients after low tech treatment plan negative pregnancy tests, if repeat cycle not initiated, to provide emotional support.
  • Follow up on all patients who have not had contact within 2 months of their last appointment.
  • Assist navigator/nurse navigator in calling and documenting 6 month and 10-month obstetric phone calls, and complete cycle outcomes.
  • Document patient care and instruction in patient EMR; responsible for accurate data entry daily into clinical system.
  • Other duties as assigned, within scope of practice.
 
Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; experience in customer service or CMA preferred.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in women’s health in a physician’s practice preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of team.
  • Superior critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Ability to communicate accurately and concisely, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a strong understanding and appreciation of a diverse work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment, as well as the ability to work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team.
