We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead key initiatives in our cybersecurity innovation efforts, with a particular focus on developing a new SaaS platform. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data engineering principles, especially as they relate to cybersecurity, a drive for innovation, and a dedication to developing solutions that meet our customers' unique requirements. In this position, you will be pivotal in shaping our data strategy, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure our data solutions and new SaaS platform are closely aligned with customer needs, and play a critical role in driving NetSPI's continued growth and success.

 

Responsibilities:

Advanced Data Architecture:

Architect and maintain complex data solutions, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and security.

Lead initiatives for optimizing data storage, processing, and retrieval, using cutting-edge technologies.

Data Pipeline Mastery:

Design and implement robust, real-time data pipelines, supporting high- volume data processing.

Develop automated systems for continuous data quality checks and integrity validation.

Strategic Collaboration and Leadership:

Actively collaborate with senior data scientists, analysts, and cross-functional teams.

Mentor junior data engineers and lead team projects to drive innovation in data practices.

Research and Development:

Stay at the forefront of data engineering trends, tools, and best practices.

Lead research initiatives to implement new data technologies and methodologies at NetSPI.

 

Qualifications:

Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record in large-scale data architecture and pipeline development.

Experience developing AI/ML pipelines. Experience with LLMs is preferred.

Expertise in a wide range of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL, and big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.

Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in mentoring and guiding teams.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
