A Data Scientist at NetSPI will lead our endeavors in leveraging data-driven approaches to foster innovation within the cybersecurity domain. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, exceptional analytical skills, and strong leadership capabilities. As a Senior Data Scientist, your primary role will involve the development and optimization of sophisticated, scalable data infrastructures and pipelines. Additionally, you will play a critical role in converting raw data into meaningful insights that drive strategic decisions. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing advanced data systems, collaborating closely with various stakeholders to ensure our solutions are perfectly aligned with customer needs, and playing a key role in the deployment and market introduction of our innovative NetSPI security platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Data Analysis and Modeling:
    • Conduct comprehensive data analysis and develop sophisticated models to solve complex problems.
    • Utilize machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling to drive insights and solutions.
  • Machine Learning Algorithm Development:
    • Design, test, and deploy innovative machine learning algorithms.
    • Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI and machine learning to implement cutting-edge solutions.
  • Strategic Contribution:
    • Contribute to strategic discussions on data-driven decision making and innovation.
    • Present findings and insights to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
  • Cybersecurity Focus:
    • Understand and apply principles of cybersecurity to data analysis and machine learning solutions.
    • Stay current on cybersecurity trends and threats to inform data science initiatives.
  • LLM Implementation and Optimization:
    • Work with and fine-tune Language Model Learning (LLMs) for specific cybersecurity applications.
    • Stay updated on advancements in LLMs and apply them effectively to improve cybersecurity solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in data science, with a strong background in machine learning and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with training and fine tuning LLMs in heavily preferred but not required.
  • Expertise in Python, R, or other data science languages and tools.
  • Strong experience with data visualization and communication of complex results.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in mentoring and guiding teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong focus on delivering actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex data concepts to a non-technical audience.
