SCOPE OF POSITION:

Coordinate and execute all daily DC and ROP activities necessary to create the restaurant order proposal. Support ongoing ROP process improvement and order accuracy through root cause analysis. In addition to ROP support, this role will also be a support to the Customer Service team.

  • The position will require working a varied schedule including weekends and some evenings. For example: a Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs schedule and a mid-morning to early evening shift.
  • Ability to travel for training may be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other Duties May Be Assigned):

  • Daily/Routine Tasks
    • Validate order proposals before they are published to the restaurant, investigate exceptions and take action if required
    • Review confirmed orders with significant changes and take action with the restaurants and DC customer service
    • Follow up on restaurant calls where the CSR could not answer the restaurant's question
  • Investigative Tasks
    • Drive continuous improvement for assigned restaurants and develop action plans for order accuracy improvement through the Root Cause Analysis process
    • Analyze historical transactions to identify restaurant inventory management opportunities or HAVI supply or demand planning opportunities and work with the restaurant or HAVI to resolve issue
    • Work with the restaurants over the phone on inventory management issues
    • Escalate inventory management issues to DC Field Service and run supporting for FS to coach individual restaurants.
  • Local DC Planner Tasks
    • Coordinate with DC functions (ILSC, LSS, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Field Service) to execute daily ROP activities and improve order accuracy
    • Align promotion and menu item sales data by restaurant in IBAT
      • Validate and maintain promotion participation
      • Validate and maintain menu item participation
    • Coordinate delivery schedule changes with DC Transportation, COE and HAVI Central Planning
    • Validate delivery calendars in ROP
    • Support local DC on JDE store salability and restricts (DC Assortment)
    • Enter restaurant news on ROP Web
  • All other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. Education – High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience – McDonald’s DC process knowledge, and experience with Supply Chain Planning tools. The position requires exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical abilities are also required.

Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, business plans, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups employees, customers or vendors, etc.

Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations – None.

Other Required Skills and Abilities – All features of Microsoft Office, JDEdwards One World, AOS (Restaurant ordering system). Expert level MS Excel skills preferred.
