JOB OVERVIEW

The Receiving Coordinator implements process changes and improvements within the receiving team and evaluates processes with other departments to improve material move methods to internal and external customers in a fast-paced environment. This individual is also responsible for instructing members of the receiving staff to efficiently move product through Robinson to best satisfy its internal and external customers. Overall responsibilities include verifying and maintaining records on incoming shipments, receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming parts and material.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with EHS Manager to comply with OSHA standards.
  • Ensures product is received into the ERP system efficiently and accurately, including general visual inspections, counting of product, and documenting tasks as needed.
  • Verification and processing of all incoming shipments to Robinson.
  • Uses computer system for inventory purposes.
  • Uses forklift or other powered industrial equipment to move product around in work area.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Implements and establishes new processes, software, and other ideas to the team.
  • Communicates and works well with other departments and team members regarding accurate and timely completion of projects.
  • Identifies problems, develops alternative solutions and gathers/presents information toward implementing alternative actions.
  • Demonstrates initiative and willingness to undertake increased responsibility.
  • Exhibits ability to prioritize and plan work activities, manages time efficiently and meets objectives to complete projects.
  • Demonstrates teamwork by working well with others, offering assistance and responding positively to constructive feedback.
  • Trains and supports Shared Service personnel to reach desired goals and objectives.
  • Follows safe manufacturing and material handling practices.
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather elements and conditions.
  • Other job duties as assigned per the needs of the Shop and the Company

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Experience with a Windows-based computer system
  • Experience with an ERP such as Syteline or CSI preferred
  • Ability to operate a forklift in conjunction with all safety rules and regulations
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as sales orders, slips, inventory records, and receiving documents
  • Ability to write standard documentation and present information to other employees in the organization
  • Prior experience as expeditor, material coordinator, shipping and receiving personnel, or similar in manufacturing environment
  • Ability to see the organizations larger goals and objectives
