Oversee events at one of the most spectacular venues in all of Virginia. With several world-class venues, our beautiful, private estate setting has something for everyone: panoramas of Blue Ridge Mountains, acres of vines, and sparking lakes. We are seeking an Event Manager who will be responsible for all external and internal events on our nearly 1,300 acres property.
Position Title: Event Manager, exempt, 40 hours per week
Location: Trump Winery in Charlottesville, VA - 15 minutes south of Charlottesville city limits, 20 minutes north of Scottsville
Hours: Full-Time - on site. Weekdays,weekend and some holiday availability required
Wage: $50,000-$60,000/yr, depending on experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Answer all event inquires, execute venue appointments with potential clients to include providing tours to prospective guests
- Review, coordinate and execute all event arrangements to exceed expectations and provide all winery guests and event clients with a superior and consistent experience; communicate any last minute changes to all stakeholders
- Respond timely to issues that arise during an event (guest injury, equipment failures, accidents, etc.); identify and resolve issues in conjunction with Maintenance
- Develop, manage, and execute innovative signature winery events for: guests, wine club members, staff functions, fundraising activities for St. Jude and other charity events
- Manage event ticket set up in POS as well as process payments for client booking and event wine purchases
- Create, manage, and maintain event policies, including vendor approval process, contract policy, and client protocols
REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a similar field preferred or equivalent industry experience
- Proven track record of facilitating successful group events
- Ability to lift, push and pull 50 pounds, stand on feet for 8+ hours
- General understanding with troubleshooting venue facility operations
- Exceptional communication skills: written and verbal, presentation, coordination, and collaboration
