Apply online: http://apexoperationsmanagementllc.appone.com/ Duties/Responsibilities Operates a semi-truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws. Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations. Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas which will include field entrances, and field roads; follows loading crew and grain cart operator signals. Assists with loading of or loads and unloads goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unloads empty skids and returns all equipment to designated area. Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, scale tickets, grain cart tickets and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to scale house, or front office or other appropriate staff when delivery route is complete. Facilitates routine service on trucks, including daily walk arounds to check engine oil, hub oil, truck and trailer lights, engine coolant, fuel level, and tire pressure; reports maintenance malfunctions to shop supervisor immediately. Keeps the inside and outside of the truck clean. Arranges trailers in equipment yard for optimum loading patterns. Follows company policy for proper handling of chemicals and wears appropriate personal protective equipment. Willingness to operate other equipment deemed necessary by supervisor, including but not limited to tractors, forklifts, skid steers, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at loading and delivery points. Ability to remain focused in busy environment. Education and Experience Valid Class E license required. Must be 21 years of age or older and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check (MVR). CDL A preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting in a truck cab. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time. Must be able to travel frequently.
