Description

One Year Full-Time Contract Position (with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent)

The Respite Registry Coordinator is responsible for recruiting for and maintaining a registry of CHAP workers for the provision of individualized support to Special Service At Home/ Passport funded individuals residing in York Region. Responsibilities include: matching potential workers to children/adult services, as well as assisting families in receipt of Special Services At Home/Passport funds with processes for hiring, training, and ongoing success of the individualized support.

 
Position Requirements
  • Education in Human Services or equivalent education
  • Minimum three years related experience
  • Broad experience with systems advocacy and community development
  • Experience working with adults with Developmental Disabilities
  • Managing and accessing various client information systems
  • Database experience is required
  • Responding to client inquiries in a timely fashion
  • Ability to use a variety of communications and software tools
  • Knowledge of the local service system is essential
  • The successful applicant will be required to provide a police clearance that meets agency standards
  • A valid G driver's license, appropriate insurance for work purposes, and a reliable vehicle are required for this position
