Production Associate - Level III 

Description

The Production Associate is responsible for completing assigned tasks including but not limited to - feeding gowns, towels, sheets, blankets, etc into machine for folding, hand folding of underpads, towels, gurney sheets, pressing pants, scrub tops/pants, or lab coats, and placing garments onto tunnel conveyor for steam pressing, placing folded items into their appropriate plastic packaging, etc. All duties should be performed according to company processes and quality standards.

Essential Functions Include:

  • Feeding gowns, towels, sheets, blankets, etc into machine for folding
  • Hand-folding of underpads, towels, gurney sheets, mops, and fluid resistant gowns
  • Pressing pants, scrub tops/pants, or lab coats
  • Placing garments onto tunnel conveyor for steam pressing
  • Placing folded items into their appropriate plastic packaging
  • Meet company's quality and production standards for assigned job functions.
  • Notify supervisor of needed machine repairs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Education: High School diploma or GED required.

Experience: Some production experience preferred.

Knowledge & Skills: Must have good communication skills, maintain an organized work area, attention to detail, decision-making skills, multi-tasking abilities, and ability to work in an often fast-paced environment.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Uniform: Associates will be issued and required to wear a standard uniform in accordance with the company’s dress code policy.

PPE: Protective equipment is available and will be required to be worn as the situation dictates.

While performing the duties of this position, associates will be required to stand, sit and/or walk up and down stairs/steps repeatedly throughout most of the workday. Use of a computer may be required to generate reports, monitor production, and production information.

While performing the duties of this position, the use of a computer may be required for communications and writing report/correspondence. When in plant, the incumbent is subject to the outside environment with possible exposure to extreme temperatures (heat, cold, humidity, etc) and precipitation. Exposure to dust regularly throughout the plant. Normal lifting of up to 75 pounds is possible. Mobility is necessary in order to perform assigned functions. Noise level is moderate to heavy as the work area is a production environment. Position requires working the necessary amount of hours needed to complete all position-related tasks or assignments on a timely basis.
