Responsibilities: Conduct Homestudies: Independently conduct thorough and comprehensive homestudies for prospective adoptive, kinship, and foster families. Assess and evaluate applicants' suitability for providing a safe and supportive environment for children. Assessment and Documentation: Gather information through interviews, home visits, and relevant documents to assess applicants' background, parenting skills, and capacity to meet the needs of children. Complete detailed and accurate documentation of homestudy assessments in accordance with agency policies and legal requirements. Educate and Support Applicants: Provide information and guidance to applicants on the homestudy process, requirements, and expectations. Offer support and resources to help applicants navigate the preparation and approval process. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work collaboratively with case managers, legal professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each family's situation. Attend case review meetings and court hearings as needed. Stay Informed on Regulations: Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to adoption, kinship care, and foster homes. Ensure that homestudies align with all legal requirements and standards. Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention and support services to families during the homestudy process as needed. Collaborate with other professionals to address any challenges that may arise.   Position Requirements Master's degree in Social Work. Current and valid social work license. Proven experience in conducting homestudies for adoption, kinship care, or foster homes. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
