Every one of our team members seeks to live and breathe the values that define our culture, the Bird “Dogma”: The Bird “Dogma” We Put People First We Dependably Drive Results We Constantly Keep a Positive Attitude We Never Stop Improving, Ever We Relentlessly Solve Problems   Summary     Duties & Responsibilities Meeting with operations, revenue management, sales and marketing teams to discuss strategy, review financial reports and track key metrics Researching market changes, demand generators, event schedules, and other market intelligence to uncover prospects Updating key account information and activities/goals in the company’s CRM Sending prospecting emails and making cold calls Gain a deep understanding of the hotel’s existing and potential client base (this is often affected by the type of hotel, the location and the specific types of business taking place in the hotel’s geographic area) Devise new ways to expand the client base through prospecting, marketing and key relationships Proactively reaches out to organizations, associations and companies that may require hotel rooms and/or meeting space for conferences and events Set up and conduct meetings with potential accounts to explain the hotel’s unique value proposition and to negotiate future business opportunities Network with prospects, referral bases, event planners, etc. Negotiates, designs and implements special rates for key accounts Acts as a pro-active, quota-carrying salesperson that prospects accounts, closes deals and maintains relationships including negotiation of rates Handles any complaints or reviews related to group/corporate sales or marketing initiatives Assists with request for proposal responses as needed Ensures that key account room blocks have a fantastic experience and receive VIP treatment Creates positive, lasting relationships with contacts from key accounts Tracks movement of key contacts as they move from one organization or company to another and nurtures long-term relationships Work closely with the General Manager, Revenue Manager and Regional Director of Sales to ensure proposed rate meet the hotel’s goals and also to ensure the proper distribution of room sales across various market segments Maintain relationships with existing clients ensuring all their needs are met and expectations are exceeded Assist in maintaining group blocks, including but not limited to cut-off dates, prepayment, repeat business, etc. Report on key sales metrics to management on a regular basis to ensure activity goals are being met, pace for guest room production is on track and revenue is going in the right direction Pay Range is $45,000-$55,000  with a potential bonus of up to 20% of Salary     Position Requirements   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Location Best Western East Towne Suites   This position is currently accepting applications.
