Glass Walls Exhibit Coordinator 


Position Objective:

To use peta2's 3-D "Glass Walls" exhibit to educate college students about the philosophy and principles of animal rights as well as what they can do in their own lives to stop animal suffering

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Travel extensively with and manage peta2's 3-D "Glass Walls" exhibit

• Supervise a team of interns traveling with the exhibit

• Work with college activists to coordinate "buzz" campaigns to generate interest in the exhibit

• Work alongside college campaign staff members to coordinate with college activists and groups hosting the exhibit

• Work alongside college campaign staff members to devise a travel schedule for the exhibit each semester

• Represent peta2 to the media and the general public

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field

• Minimum of two years of student activist experience

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience

• Working knowledge of youth culture

• Extensive knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns

• Demonstrated ability to plan and manage successful events

• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

• Demonstrated willingness and ability to initiate conversations about animal rights and communicate effectively with a variety of people

• Proven effective public speaking skills

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Proven excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively

• Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle

• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time and move equipment

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver's license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record

• Support for PETA's philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA's positions on issues

• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
