Share Email Opening Apply Now Title Psychosocial Rehabiliation Specialist - Part-time  Category Psychosocial Recovery Program   Description CMCSB is seeking a highly motivated person to assist in the daily operation of Providence House, a psychosocial rehabilitative program located in Richlands, VA. Providence House provides support, guidance and recovery-oriented activities to individuals with long term mental illness. Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist responsibilities include supervising work activities of the members during vocational enhancement programs, transporting individuals to and from the program and on community outings, conducting educational groups, and responding to medical or behavioral emergencies using agency-approved techniques. Responsible for proper record keeping and documentation of services and activities of the program.   Position Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. Good written and oral communication skills. Basic knowledge of mental illness. Effective problem solving and decision making skills. Willingness to work flexible hours to meet program needs. CMCSB provides mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse treatment services to the residents of Buchanan, Russell, and Tazewell Counties. At the present time, CMCSB operates over twenty locations, to include outpatient offices, mental health recovery programs, group homes and day support programs for intellectually disabled individuals, and a residential alcohol and drug treatment program. In addition, CMCSB has several services that are provided directly in an individual's home or in a supported environment. CMCSB also provides a 24-hour crisis team to assist community agencies and individuals in crisis situations. CMCSB employs approximately 500 employees, which include full-time and part-time employees, as well as individuals receiving services who are employed to work in various day programs.
