Consultant’s Competencies:
Experience leading an Information Technology academic department and/or industry expertise in technology. Consulting and college teaching experience is required.
Working knowledge of program development/design and performance metrics.
Innovative thought leader in IT discipline and industry practice, with a focus on approaches to building and supporting a diverse pipeline of IT students.
Effective communication skills to maintain clear and ongoing communication with stakeholders, provide regular updates on progress, and deliver a comprehensive final report.
Instructional design and academic assessment experience preferred.
Deliverables:
1. Assessment of Information Technology Academic Programs: Review and provide a thorough analysis of Peirce College’s existing Information Technology academic programs.
2. Collaboration with Stakeholders: The Consultant is responsible for engaging with full-time IT faculty, academic administrators, and industry experts to gather insights into the current state of the IT offerings and potential opportunities. Identify any gaps, challenges, and opportunities to leverage the curriculum and diversify offerings aligned with industry demand and supporting diverse populations.
3. Formalize and present recommendations: Provide a comprehensive report with formal recommendations based on the assessment and collaboration phases. These recommendations should outline specific changes or improvements required to position the College's IT academic programs competitively and ensure their relevance to prospective students and workforce needs.
