Job Description

The Human Resources and Organizational Development Manager position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HROD Manager will work closely with the Chief People Officer to develop and implement programs and initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will have supervisory responsibility over at least one training specialist resource.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with management and employees to champion TWG's culture, improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Research employment laws and/or best practices to resolve ad hoc issues and assists in the development and implementation of organizational development programming.
  • In collaboration with management, reviews organizational culture and recommends systemic programming to increase intercultural competencies throughout the organization.
  • Design competency models for operations and management.
  • Designs, develops, and facilitates training sessions on applicable topics to develop key management competencies. / Develop and deploy tactical and strategic management and leadership training
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Oversees the annual Employee Engagement survey and process, including management of the vendor and providing coaching and training to executive leadership for action planning.
  • Partners with CPO to design a job hierarchy and corresponding compensation framework for career development opportunities for employee partners.
  • Redesign and standardize the performance management evaluations and process.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to HR Business Partners and line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support overall organizational and employee development initiatives.
 
Position Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • 6-8 years of progressive HR experience, including experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including organizational development, performance management, training, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Periodic travel to manufacturing locations
