Our shipping department is growing is in need of a QA/Shipping Clerk. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Pull computer generated orders based on customer requirements, prepare outgoing shipments, and build appropriate pallets to ensure safe delivery Receive product from packaging area into loading area. Sort product into the proper location in the loading area to ensure accuracy of orders. Scan palletized product to customer invoices and distribute to the appropriate dock for trailer loading Utilize Ware house System (Merit trax) Work within OSHA and USDA Guidelines to ensure safety and sanitation of warehouse Inventory Control: physical, cycle counting, and receiver checks Researching and maintaining chain of custody documentation Assist with monthly food safety self-audits and mock recall exercises Monitor employee GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) Monitor SSOPs (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures) Record Inspection Data such as weights, temperatures, and quantities inspected, Discard or reject products or materials. Weekend temperature checks Help Monitor for Condensation Monitor Trailer Conditions to ensure they are clean prior to product being loaded. Must be able to perform all job functions safely in accordance with food safety and quality standards. Perform other duties as assigned.   Position Requirements Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the U.S. Read, write, and understand English, Spanish would be a plus Able to understand verbal and written instruction - detail oriented Able to work in an efficient manner while handling several task concurrently Able to stand for entire work shift Able to lift up 70 pounds frequently Reliable and punctual; be willing to work over time when required Computer skills : Excel, Outlook and word Understanding in inventory management Must have knowledge of and and ability to monitor and take action to enforce for all food safety requirements for UIB program, 3rd party audits, and USDA regulations and lead by example in following rules. Demonstrated knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Sanitization Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), pre-requisite programs, policies and procedures.
