Position Summary
NHOMS/MassOMS is seeking a Staff Accountant to provide assistance with the daily accounting and fiscal functions while ensuring federal, state, and local regulations and laws and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) are adhered to.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Accurate and timely month-end close cycle
• Review and process accruals
• Prepare monthly revenue entries
• Make required journal entry adjustments
• Profitability reporting by office location.
• Maintains the general ledger
• Entering deposits and reconciling any discrepancies with the Billing Department
• Manage corporate credit card accounts and post to general ledger
• Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks
• Verifies and completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts for multiple office locations
• Weekly check runs
• 1099 Vendor Processing
• File and maintain accounting records
• Provides assistance to CFO with gathering necessary information and documentation
• Production management reporting
• Assist Management with preparing financial data for weekly and quarterly management meetings
• Coordinates with software vendors to maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports and provide initial review and analysis of financial statements/reports and variance analysis
• Assist with preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and issues
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies, perform research therein, and work toward resolution
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel (Must have advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP, pivot table, and advanced formulas)
• Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills; high level of emotional intelligence
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Clear understanding of standard financial statements
• Must have advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP, pivot table, and advanced formulas
• Medical/Dental experience a plus
• Experience with Sage Intact software a strong plus,
• Experience in Public Accounting a plus
• Paychex experience, preferred

Compensation:
• $70,000-$90,000 base compensation
