ABOUT YOU
You have an exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, and strong commitment to providing excellent care to our patients. You enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and you desire to contribute to a strong culture where the entire team works together for the good of each patient.
YOU WILL
- Assist the nursing staff in maintaining the flow of patients and families through the peri-operative area, and even more so in the PACU
- Be responsible for keeping these areas stocked and clean so all essential equipment for patient care is readily available and orderly
- Escort patients to the preoperative area and obtain patient’s medical history, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart
- Escort families to the recovery unit when the nurse requests them, and escort patient and family to their vehicle/elevator upon discharge
YOU HAVE
Requirements + Qualifications
- High school diploma/equivalent or graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program
- Current American Heart Association issued Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English)
Preferred
- Pediatric or surgery experience preferred
- Minimum of one-year experience as a Medical Assistant
