Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for day-to day-contract administration, insurance compliance, litigation support, and other legal or administrative duties as required. Entry level position with growth potential. Monthly travel possible.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Protect clients from legal risks and regulatory violations in all business transactions
  • Assist in insurance compliance and audits
  • Perform complex legal research and extensive due diligence
  • Evaluate current and new projects, partnerships, mergers, divestitures, and acquisitions
  • Maintain good relationships while providing legal advice
  • Draft, review, and modify service contracts, terms and conditions
  • Negotiate on the clients' behalf to create, modify, and execute deals
  • Provide legal counsel related to employment law, workers compensation in Oklahoma and Texas
  • Oversee support staff, paralegals, and outside lawyers hired to assist
  • Advise company's staff and help establish best practices

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Experience with Westlaw and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as individually with minimal direct supervision
  • Strong legal knowledge specifically in contract administration, working with Master Service Agreements and some litigation-like matters

EDUCATION, LICENSES AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A degree from an ABA accredited law school and a bar member in good standing
