About the Organization Catholic Charities of Ingham, Eaton, & Clinton Counties (CCIECC) is a non-profit, human services agency dedicated to serving the most vulnerable. Every year, thousands of lives are transformed through the agency's programs which include foster care, adoption, mental health counseling, refugee services, and an Immigration Law Clinic. Located in Michigan's capital and with more than 70+ years of compassionate service to the community, CCIECC is proud to have forged relationships with community partners of almost every creed. CCIECC's work is carried out by employees (and interns/volunteers) and we welcome those passionate about serving others to join us on this journey of providing help and hope.

Description

Volunteers provide a wide range of support based on the volunteer's interest and the current needs of the agency. Volunteers will work with the Volunteer Coordinator to find the appropriate placement. Volunteers will continue service opportunities through ongoing communication with the Volunteer Coordinator and assigned Supervisors.

Agency Expectations of the Volunteer:

  • Follow all policies and procedures of the agency
  • Complete assigned tasks and seek support as needed
  • Only accept assignments in which the volunteer can complete to the best of their abilities
  • Respect the confidentiality of agency business

Volunteer Expectations of the Agency:

  • To have meaningful service opportunities
  • Receive necessary support to perform tasks to the best of your capabilities
  • Respect for efficient and effective use of volunteer time
  • To be treated with mutual respect by agency staff members

  • Sets boundaries and maintains the helping role of the volunteer to appropriately to meet the needs of the persons or family members served.
  • Appropriate level of education for volunteer service
