Share Email opening to a friend Apply Now Title Manufacturing Engineer  Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Shift First   Description JOB SUMMARY: As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be designing an industrialized solution from the Design Engineering definition and developing a production solution which maximizes production efficiency. In this role you will create manufacturing work instructions; assist with design improvements and problem solving for manufacturing issues (production methods and procedures). You will also apply this logic in a variety of areas such as layout, production flow, tooling and production equipment, material fabrication, assembly methods and planning. PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): Interpret manufacturing/assembly drawings and process specifications to create accurate technician level work instructions. Optimize order of operations and assembly sequence to maximize build efficiency and to reduce the probability of technician error. Develop and maintain routings and Manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM) to ensure all parts defined by Engineering are installed during the assembly/installation process. Author detail industrialization packages that optimize manufacturing process and opportunity for zero defects. Develop and provide time standards to the production floor and standard work for operations and processes. Create rework instructions to support effective corrective actions. Collaborate with engineering to improve manufacturability of product design, during the appropriate design phase, resulting from established methods and performance analysis. Incorporate Lean Manufacturing Methodology into existing and future processes. Utilizes analytical skills for capacity analysis, tool and equipment utilization as well as line balancing. Perform trend analysis of shop performance measures to identify opportunities for improvements. Review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services. Optimize the process for both detail and assembly level manufactured parts and products, or deliver supporting services, with maximum efficiency. Perform technical studies and conduct analysis of operations (existing and proposed).   Position Requirements MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline or 8 years of relevant work experience that can be substituted for the degree requirement. 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment as a Process Planner, Industrial Engineer, Production Engineer, or Design Engineer. Work experience with CATIA, AutoCAD, Solidworks or equivalent product design solution Basic knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma principles Strong willingness to solve problems that have a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional processes, and difficult coordination requirements. Exposure converting engineering instructions and information into content intended for a variety of audiences and ability levels. Proven ability to read technical drawings and schematics with strong analytical and mathematical abilities.   Location Little Rock   This position is currently accepting applications.
